Halloween FunFest
In its 34th year, Halloween FunFest is THE event for Halloween fun for the whole family. Champaign and Urbana Park Districts along with Market Place Mall invite you and your family to come out and enjoy this FREE event. Dress up in your favorite costume and turn your Thursday into a spooktacular night. There will be trick-or-treating, games, and a costume contest. If you dare, take a walk through the spooky (family-friendly) haunted house, and most importantly don’t forget to bring a bag to carry all your goodies home!

Downtown Mahomet Trunk or Treat
The cars will be decorated and the candy will be in abundance. Slide into your costume and bring the family down for the Downtown Mahomet Trunk or Treat celebration. In between munching on candy, vote for your favorite decorated car and enter The Best Costume Contest. Entries will be posted to Facebook and everyone will be allowed to vote for the winner. There’s a lot going on in Downtown Mahoment, all you need to do is show up to enjoy the festivities.

Nightmare on Grove Street
Don’t worry about having nightmares at this event because Nightmare on Grove Street is going to have a lot more treats than tricks. A free family friendly event held in Douglass Park, there will be fun activities for the kids and of course a candy give away!

Punkin Chunkin
Nothing says fall like pumpkins everywhere and the Punkin Chunkin takes them to a whole new level. Hosted by The World Championship Punkin Chunkin Association, this non-profit raises money for scholarships, as well as organizations that benefit youth and the local community. This annual event fuels innovative engineering and science-based ideas that draw spectators from all over. A weekend long event you can camp out if you wish and pop in to see a pumpkin or two tossed around. Either way you’re sure to enjoy the competitive quest that strives for more distance in those flying pumpkins!
