Recently engaged?

Chances are if you’re reading this you recently got engaged (Congrats!), know someone who got engaged, or you just happened to click on this link and are now wondering what you are doing here.

If the last one is you bear with us you may want to share this content with a friend or maybe hold onto it for when you get engaged. Some of these things are pretty basic and you might be rolling your eyes but chances are you might forget a few of these important steps since you’ll be celebrating, which brings us to our first step.

If the last one is you bear with us you may want to share this content with a friend or maybe hold onto it for when you get engaged.

Some of these things are pretty basic and you might be rolling your eyes but chances are you might forget a few of these important steps since you’ll be celebrating, which brings us to our first step.

1st. Celebrate!

Take a moment with your newly minted fiancé and just enjoy it! Things are about to get hectic so soak in the moments of pure bliss before you are bombarded with texts and phone calls from your friends and family.

If you are recently engaged or have been engaged for several months and haven’t taken a moment to celebrate do it now.

2nd : Share the news!

Share the news in your own time. If you want to keep it a secret, go for it. Want to shout it from the roof tops, do it. This is you and your soon to be hubby’s moment so share it in your own way at your own time.

3rd : Insure your Ring

We may be a bit bias but this might be the most important step second only to saying YES!

We recommend talking to an insurance agent about coverage incase your ring is stolen or damaged. Many times, you can add a jewelry rider to your existing homeowners or renter’s policy. It’s worth it to discuss before anything happens. You can contact us at 877.725.1800 or email us at info@insurewithsnyder.com!

4th : Think about the big picture

You and your fiancé’s dream wedding may be a little different so now is the time to sit down and discuss wedding plans like location, date, time, and style. There are so many options so take the time to really think about how, where, and when you want your wedding. Head on over to our blog “Picking the right venue and making sure you’re protected”.

5th: Register for Gifts

You and your fiancé may have already been living together and probably have most of the necessary items, so don’t feel bad putting cash/gift cards down as a preferred gift. It’s not out of the norm for brides and grooms to request cash over 3 or 4 crockpots that they don’t ever plan on using.

Many times, your guest will thank you for making gift giving easier on them!

6th: Insure your Wedding

So much has been invested in planning your dream wedding- your heart, your time, and your money. Be sure to talk with an insurance agent about protecting your dream wedding in case the worst happens, like your caterer backs out or the salon loses your dress.
